Signal is hoping for donations

Hope is a good thing. But the question is: are we willing to pay phone number library for an independent and privacy-friendly messaging service? How much? As much as for our bank account or credit card? Or as for Netflix? Just as a monthly subscription? I can hope so in the end.

Or, we could just do it with good old SMS. We already pay for that via our  hone subscription. To what extent our providers are haggling with our data is unclear, but switching from WhatsApp to SMS together could also be a satisfying form of Big Tech resistance.

Ultimately, I hope that all of the Netherlands will switch to Signal. with the data he no longer receives from us. If you switch or are already on Signal, I hope you know where to find the donation button every now and then.
